Conference: The Iranian Nuclear Crisis in ContextOn March 12th-13th, 2007, the Simons Centre convened a two-day conference to explore the particular historical, regional, social and political contexts of Iranian motivations for pursuing nuclear technologies in order to enhance discussion in Canada and elsewhere on appropriate responses. The conference gathered 15 leading experts from Canada, the United States and Europe including Canadian government representatives. The conference was convened with support from the Foreign Policy Dialogue Program of the Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade and from the Security and Defence Forum of the Department of National Defence.
